16+ years in the global hospitality industry, with a background in Asset Management, Strategic Advisory, and Operations. As Vice President Asset Management for Alójica, Ana oversees the company’s hotel portfolio in Mexico, including its subadvisory assets in Costa Rica. Former Vice President of Asset Management at Tortuga Resorts, managing properties in Mexico, Jamaica, and the USA. Previous roles at JLL and hotel AVE allowed working directly with hotel management companies on owner-related decisions, including, operator selection, leading pre-opening processes, brand transitions, and valuations, among others. Previously with Hilton’s Elevator Graduate Program and rising to Director of Finance. A native of Venezuela, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism from Sant Ignasi- Ramon LLull University and an Master’s in Hotel Management at Vatel Argentina.

Oversees development, asset management and sustainability efforts for Alojica’s owned and subadvisory assets in Latin America and the Caribbean (1,000 keys). Founder of CREO Capital, an impact driven real estate private equity firm and Board Member for CIRENAS. Previously Investment Officer at CoreCo Private Equity and Investment Analyst at JP Morgan. Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Master’s in Engineering Management from Cornell University.

7+ years of Investment Banking and Private Equity experience.  Manages the underwriting, structuring and execution of investments and capital development efforts for Black Creek Mexico and its platform companies. Former investment banking professional at Alfaro, Dávila y Scherer, a leading Mexican investment bank and a Moelis & Company strategic partner, focusing on advisory of M&A transactions and debt restructurings, where he participated in transactions totaling $2.0bn. A native of Monterrey, Mexico, Fernando holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Investments and Asset Management

10+ years of Commercial Real Estate and Portfolio Management & Valuation experience in Mexico and the US. Responsible for portfolio management, including value-add strategy implementation and asset performance.  Former investment professional at SKB, an American private equity firm, operator, and developer specializing in Urban Industrial and Suburban Mixed-Use commercial along the US West Coast market. With more than $2bn assets under management, Karina participated in the underwriting, acquisitions, financing, and asset management of the portfolio. Previously an investment professional at The Aztec Fund, a Mexican private equity firm focused primarily on Class A office in the US. Former Treasury, Finance, Capital & Liquidity Analyst at Bank of America where she was responsible for Basel III compliance and treasury implementation. Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from ITESM – Instituto Tecnológico de Estúdios Superiores de Monterrey.

6+ years of investment and project management experience. As Senior Associate Investment Management and Reporting, MariCarmen is responsible for various investment management, administrative and reporting functions. Former Project Manager at Tops Day Nurseries in the UK, where she spearheaded successful international recruitment campaigns. Previously with Rodina, a leading Mexican family office and investment fund, where she oversaw investor relations and compliance efforts. Previously part of M&A services at EY. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Atrategic Finance from ITAM, Mexico, and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Oxford.

+7 years of Private Equity and Real Estate experience.  Former Associate with Colony LatAm Partners’ investment team in Mexico overlooking the CLAF I & II portfolio (+$700M) across Latin America. Previously with Artha Capital where he was responsible for Mixed-Use Real Estate transactions. Former analyst at EMX Capital focused on portfolio value creation initiatives, financings, and divestitures. He started his professional career at UBS on the Equity Research department. Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from ITAM, Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de Mexico, and an Master’s of Business Administration from Columbia Business School.  CFA charter holder.

Alejandro is responsible for financial modeling and market research for Alojica’s lodging real estate investments and transaction prospects.  Previously at the EY Business Tax Advisory practice in Mexico City.  Bachelor’s Degree from the ITAM – Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. Passed CFA Level 1.
